What's New? If you don't visit The Free Software Store regularly, you can find out what's new by looking for the "New" marker (in red) on our Master Index. This marker lists any new reviews we've added in the last 30 days. We also audit all our reviews every 6 months to ensure that they're still accurate and up-to-date (or even earlier if we're advised of any errors and/or other changes) And if we make changes to any particular page, this is marked as "Update" for 30 days after the change too.

Background: From 21st August 2008 onwards The Free Software Store provides new software reviews every week. And we discuss these new reviews on our front page when they're released.

But you can use our Google custom search engine (which appears in the upper and lower left hand corners of every page of our site) to locate any software that we've reviewed either by its name or by its general characteristics (eg: "FTP software").

Or you can simply zoom into the broad area that you want to find by using our Master Index, below.

PS:  Please note that as our reviews continue to expand it's very likely we'll recategorise software over time.

Our key aim is always to give you a simple system for finding the software you want quickly. So as complexity rises (and it certainly will as our review categories continue to expand) we'll keep coming back to re-simplify everything for you.
