VirusBuster Lite (307,000 to 861,000 bytes)
Australia's Leprechaun Software have been marketing their superb VirusBuster anti-virus software very successfully for close to a decade and the company now provides most of the anti-virus security for all levels of the Australian Government and most big Australian corporate sites. In fact, there are now more than 500,000 registered users of Virus Buster world-wide. If you haven't tried this prince of anti-virus programs yourself, Leprechaun offer a free download of VirusBuster Lite so you put it through its paces. Leprechaun also have a small collection of useful freeware utility programs on their site (eg: the UUENCODE/ DECODE set, a small program to split files across floppy disks, a zipping program etc) as well as fixes for the Word Macro and Krshna (Euthanasia) viruses.
HyperActive Games Archives (Varies)
The Australian gaming ezine Hyperactive maintain one of the best local games archives for Windows and Mac gamers that we've seen. HyperActive generally have about 50 PC games and around 15 Mac games available for downloading at any time (some full versions, some demos) and this is one of the very few Internet games archives we can heartily recommend. New games are added and old games are purged periodically so it pays to check here every now and then to see what's new. Some of the downloads are massive (6Mb to 9Mb is not uncommon) but others are a more modest 2Mb or so. PC enthusiasts will also be pleased to find that HyperActive have DOS and Windows 3.x games as well offerings for Windows95.
