The Free Graphics Store
is always delighted to publicise other great graphics sites on the
Net. We see this as both a service to our visitors and a great way to draw
attention to other excellent sites (and artists) who deserve greater recognition.
How Does It Work?
Very simply! Our Guest Artists
donate a small, representative selection of their graphics to our
Archives (usually a page or two). In return, they gain a permanent place
on our site and the significant exposure this brings.
How significant? Well, although
it's hard to estimate exact returns, most of our Guest Artists have been
drawing a steady flow of anywhere between 500 and 1500 visitors per month
from their association with us - month in and month out, year after
year.
For many people, that's equivalent
to a top-of-page listing in a global search engine. And it's completely free,
too!
Are There Any Rules?
Well yes, there are a few:
-
We prefer our guest artists
to display original work. All our existing Guest Artists have created
their own work and we can't really accept you if you're displaying unoriginal
material.
-
Your site mustn't display
(or link to) adult, racist, hurtful or offensive content. The Free Graphics
Store is a family-friendly site, and our existing Guest Artists are
too.
-
Any graphics displayed on our
site should be freeware for both commercial and non-commercial sites.
If you use linkware graphics or have other restrictions on your own site,
that's entirely up to you. But any graphics displayed in The Free Graphics
Store are freeware, and our Guest Artist pages are the same.
What Do I Need To Do?
If you're interested in becoming
a Guest Artist, the best way to start is to
send us an email with
the URL of your site so we can have a look at what you do. If accepted,
you'll need to supply us with the following things:
-
A selection of graphics
you'd like to display on your Guest Artist page(s)
-
A brief biography and
a photo (our visitors do like to know who you are and a little bit
about you!)
-
A 468 x 60 < 12K banner
ad for your site (which will be displayed on your Guest Artist page)
Naturally, you'll be allowed
to proof and - if required - make corrections to any page before it's
displayed on our site. Your page will initially be featured as the
latest graphics in one of our regular fortnightly updates before
being permanently sited in the Guest Artist portion of our archives. |
