All
images on this page are seamless tiles and have been standardised at a 50x50
pixel display. They're all transparent GIFs which have been set to make a
portion of the image allow a background color to show through. They can be
used can be used as web page backgrounds on pages where a background colour
is set as well as a background image (eg: <BODY
BACKGROUND="tile1.gif" BGCOLOR="Red"> - but click on any tile and view
the source code of the display page if this still isn't clear). For easy
comparison, we've set all tile display pages to the same teal background
colour. |

The
individual weight of the images varies between 1,288 and 6,868 bytes (average:
2,200 bytes) |

To
view a page that uses any one of these backgrounds along with a 16-color
contrast chart, the image type and weight and an example of how anti-aliased
graphics would look against it, move your cursor over the image of your choice
and click your left mouse button. |
