images on this page are transparent 4, 8, 16, 32 or 256 colour GIFs and are
displayed at a standardised 490 pixel width (each rule is actually 584 to
640 pixels wide - use your browser's "View Image" function to see any image
at its true size). |

individual weight of the images varies between 240 and 2,786 bytes (average:
584 bytes) |

Most
of these rules look effective against both coloured and tiled backgrounds
(especially tiled backgrounds that provide high contrast for black). All
rules can be resized easily in a paint program. |
